Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the services of De Altruists Educational Consulting ("we," "us," or "our"). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Services Provided
De Altruists provides academic consulting, coaching, writing assistance, editing, and related educational support services. Our services are intended to assist students in their academic development and learning process.
2. Appropriate Use
Our services are provided for educational support, study guidance, and reference purposes. Clients are responsible for ensuring their use of our deliverables complies with their institution's academic integrity policies. We strongly encourage responsible and ethical use of all materials provided.
3. Client Responsibilities
- Provide accurate, complete requirements, deadlines, and specifications
- Communicate promptly if requirements change after work has commenced
- Review all deliverables in a timely manner and request changes within 7 days
- Ensure payment is made as agreed prior to or upon delivery
- Use delivered materials responsibly and in accordance with your institution's policies
4. Payment & Pricing
Pricing is quoted per project based on scope, complexity, subject matter, and deadline. Payment terms are agreed before work commences. We reserve the right to withhold delivery until full payment is confirmed. All prices are in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless stated otherwise.
5. Revisions & Amendments
We offer reasonable revisions within the original scope of the agreed project at no additional cost. Revision requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery. Requests extending beyond the original brief may incur additional charges, which will be communicated transparently before proceeding.
6. Deadlines & Delivery
We take deadlines very seriously and commit to delivering all work by the agreed date. In the rare event of a delay caused by us, you will be notified immediately with a revised timeline. Delays caused by late provision of required materials from the client will not be our responsibility.
7. Confidentiality
We treat all client information and project details as strictly confidential. We do not share, sell, or disclose any client information — including names, contact details, or project content — to any third party for any purpose whatsoever. All team members are bound by confidentiality obligations.
8. Intellectual Property
Upon receipt of full payment, all deliverables produced for a client become the property of that client. We retain no rights to resell or republish any client-specific work. We may use anonymised, non-identifying elements for internal portfolio purposes only, unless explicitly instructed otherwise.
9. Refund Policy
We are committed to your satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with delivered work, we will first offer free revisions. Refunds are considered case-by-case and may be issued if work significantly fails to meet agreed specifications despite revision attempts. Refunds are not available for accepted work or where requirements changed after work commenced.
10. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the service rendered in the specific transaction. We are not responsible for academic outcomes, institutional decisions, grades awarded, or any consequences arising from a client's use of our deliverables.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms. Significant changes will be communicated to active clients via email or phone.
